Ford Focus is Best Seller with Maryland Ford Deale

Ford Motor Company plans to increase production on the fuel efficient Focus in order to keep up with demands from dealerships all over the country including Preston Ford, a dealership serving Maryland and Delaware.
Preston Ford and its sister store Pittsville Ford; have sold a total of over 25 Focuses in the past couple of weeks, when the cash for clunkers program really took off. In response Ford Motor Company will be increasing production of the Focus after the strong demand for compact, fuel efficient vehicles shortened the supply of Focuses.
The Michigan automaker has extended plant operations at the Wayne plant to later weekday hours as well as Saturday overtime. This overtime will lead to about 6,400 additional Focuses produced between August and September. The Wayne plant has began working 10 hour work days, opposed to 8 hour work days.
The cash for clunkers program is not completely responsible for the spike in sales of the Focus. Focus sales rose by 44% in July ending the month for Ford with a 25 day supply of the vehicle. Preston Ford, selling over 25 Focuses, disclosed that only 13 sold were cash for clunkers deals.
According to the Department of Transportation the Ford Focus was the second most popular vehicle sold under the cash for clunkers program. The Ford Focus is also followed closely by the Ford Fusion and Ford Escape hybrid sport utility vehicle.
David Wilson Jr., Vice President for Preston Automotive Group, stated, “It’s great to see that Ford needs to increase production rather than the earlier months this year when production was shut down. We have one of the largest inventories in Maryland and Delaware and even we have noticed a large dent in our stock of Focuses and Fusions as those have been our top sellers under the CARS program.”

Go Home Already: That Time of Year
Curious phenomena I noticed at Costco. I'd arrive to pickup a few things and would see that all the checkout aisles were open and there were no lines of customers in sight. Yet by the time I got what I wanted and arrived at the checkout, only two (out of ten) aisles would have cashiers and each aisle would have ten customers in them. I guess it was the cashier's crack break or something. Anyway, this happened every f**king time I went to Costco. Didn't matter what day of the week or what time, although weekends were like a cross between "The Day of the Locust" and some godawful morbidly obese splosh porn.
My reaction was always the same: I'd put my bulk toiletpaper, mayonnaise, and ground beef on the floor and walk out the front door, purchasing nothing. Part of me regrets putting all that meat on the floor where it would get warm, become riddled with e-coli bacteria, and only be put back with the rest of the ground beef by the minimum-wage help. But the more I thought about it, the more I relished the idea of all the violent, explosive diarrhea the ocurred as a result. Anything to discourage more people from going to Costco. So by all means, go to Costco if you want to wait in line and DIE, leaving a garlic scented corpse. PS: parking was ample.
