NFL Draft Prospect pulls the “Do you know who I am” card with Enterprise
I say hello, and take a seat a few over from him and his buddy. As Micah continues to shove his lip full of dip, he gets on the phone with Enterprise. He gets some price quote for a Chevy Impala, and he only wants it in black, not red or green, not blue or silver, but black. Well, apparently Enterprise didn’t have black available. So what does any NFL Draft prospect who is fresh off the combine do? Starts telling the Enterprise worker about his 40 time and how he would have had a 4.7 but tripped and finished with a 4.9, (officially 4.99). Johnson gives the guy on the other side of the phone his agents discount code and apparently the cost was $1,100 for the Impala?? An Impala!? I rented one of them for Spring Break in Panama City Beach for like 120 bucks!
The story here is that Johnson then called his agent, who probably called Enterprise and probably ripped them a new one. Probably telling whoever was on the other line, that a top NFL Draft prospect was trying to rent a car from them and that it should NOT be $1,100! All the while Johnson is sitting here complaining about the cost, and that for $1,300 he should just get the Chrysler 300M. Well I crunched the numbers… if he rented an Impala at $38.26 (the daily rate at enterprise.com) , $1,100 would get him 28 days of a rental. The 300M at $143.48 (daily for a luxury, which I would classify it as) would get him 9 days of a rental. See the 18 day difference there? I do, either Micah Johnson misunderstood, or Enterprise is f*ing him in the ass with their Impala rate.
I think Enterprise just pulled the “Do you know who we are” card on Micah Johnson. I hope you got the Chrysler buddy.
