Car Rental Hire in Ontario (around the Hamilton Area)?
Hi,
I am flying into Hamilton (Ontario), Canada at start of August for 5 weeks travelling. For transport, I want to hire a rental car for the practicality of being able to travel independantly. I am reluctant to pay the premium rates through a large national firm (ie: Avis, Alamo etc) so wonder for any advice on renting locally when I get over there. Is this a good idea?...any advice will be much appreciated!. (also I am 21 years old so this may have a bearing on a rental contract).

Here is a list of rental agencies in that area, the only thing you may want to do is verify the age limit, the ones in my area is 24 yrs. old for insurance purposes. Hope you enjoy your trip and good luck!

Schools in two counties join together for fundraiser raffle
Gearing up for a series of high school graduation bashes, residents Glenn and Tehama counties have joined together for a fundraising raffle.Kelli Long, an Orland High School parent, explained that sober graduation parties are a big deal for students, creating a safe and fun way for high school seniors to spend time with their classmates.
At Orland High School, attendance at the sober grad night last year was about 97 percent, Long said.
Fundraisers are typically held throughout the year, and this year organizers are hoping that combining the fundraisers through a raffle will help all of the schools raise money more quickly, by enticing the public with prizes people would really like to win.
The schools include high schools in Orland, Willows, Hamilton City and Corning, with a total of 560 graduates.
Ticket sales will run through Jan. 31, with the drawing Feb. 6.
